Power Standards

This course deals primarily with oxy-acetylene, electric arc and MIG.  Students will learn these types of welding and build projects using wood and/or metal and must more.  (SAE required)

I. All students will demonstrate and apply appropriate safety practices.

II. All students will demonstrate skills necessary to find and earn employment (resumes, cover letters, interviews, etc).

III. All students will consistently demonstrate professional soft skills necessary to keep employment (relations with others, work ethic, dependability, etc).

IV. All students will demonstrate how to safely and properly use all equipment in the ag shop (drill press, radial arm saw, table saw, grinder, etc).

V. All students will demonstrate how to safely and properly use hand tools in the shop.

VI. All students will demonstrate how to safely and properly use welders including arc, MIG, and oxy-acetylene.
